Our AutismBC open house: thank you for stepping inside
To our visitors, the AutismBC community and the people who support them,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Simply Smile Studio’s open house on February 22, 2026. Opening our Burnaby studio to people who wanted to see the space and ask questions was an opportunity I was grateful to share with our community.
A first visit to an unfamiliar clinic can bring questions long before treatment begins. What will the space be like? Can I bring someone with me? How can I explain what feels difficult? An open house makes room for those questions without expecting someone to begin treatment that day.
AutismBC shared the invitation with its community, welcoming people to visit with a friend, family member, partner or support person. Thank you to AutismBC for helping people learn about our studio and for supporting connections between families, individuals and local services.
To those who visited: thank you for taking the time to get to know us. I appreciate that choosing care can involve careful planning. There is value in being able to look around, meet the people in a space and decide what questions you want to ask.
At Simply Smile Studio, our approach begins with listening. We provide dental hygiene and teeth-whitening services, and we want to understand each person’s comfort, communication preferences and concerns before discussing care. Needs vary, and a conversation helps us explore what may be appropriate, including when another provider may be better placed to help.
To our team: thank you for helping create a welcoming place for these conversations. To the family members, friends and support people who make time to accompany someone seeking care: your presence and support deserve recognition, too.
I hope this open house offered a useful first step for people getting to know our clinic. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves, listen and keep learning from our community.
