Our TELUS Community Award: with gratitude to the community we care for
Dear Simply Smile community,
Simply Smile Studio has been named a 2026 TELUS #StandWithOwners Community Award winner. I’m honoured to share this news, and I want to take a moment to thank the people who make our Burnaby studio what it is.
The word “community” is what makes this recognition especially meaningful to me. It includes the patients who place their trust in us, the team who cares for them and the people and organizations working to make care more accessible.
To our patients: thank you for letting us be part of your care. Sharing a worry, explaining a sensory need or telling us that you need a little more time can take courage. I appreciate the trust behind those conversations. They help us understand how to care for you as an individual.
In its winner profile, TELUS highlights our one-to-one, sensory-friendly approach for neurodivergent patients, people with dental anxiety and others who face barriers to care. Seeing that part of our work recognized is something I’m proud to share with our team.
To my colleagues: thank you for your patience, thoughtfulness and the attention you give each person. To our community partners and neighbours: thank you for the connections that help a small clinic be part of something larger. I’m grateful to work alongside people who care about making others feel welcome.
Thank you also to TELUS and the #StandWithOwners program for recognizing Simply Smile Studio among this year’s six Community Award recipients. The program’s funding and technology support are meaningful encouragement for a small business like ours.
Here in Burnaby, our work continues one visit at a time—whether someone comes for preventive dental hygiene care or professional teeth whitening. My hope is that every person feels comfortable asking questions and knows there is room for their needs.
